# Creating A Link

> Learn how to create your first link in the KlipLink dashboard.

## Why Creating a Branded Link Matters

Short, branded links increase trust and click-through rates. They are easier to share on social media, in emails, and in promotional materials. Unbranded or long links often look suspicious and can hurt engagement.

## How To Create a Link

    [**Log in**](https://klipl.ink/login) to your KlipLink account. Navigate to the [**Links section from the sidebar.**](https://klipl.ink/app/links) This is your hub for creating and managing all your short links.

  <Step title="Create a new Link">
    Click the **Create Link** button at the top of the page. Enter the full destination URL in the input field. This is the link your audience will be redirected to.

  <Step title="Customize Your Link">
    You can optionally customize the back-half of your link (the part after `klipl.ink/`) to make it easy to remember. For example: `klipl.ink/your-link`.

    * Choose a descriptive back-half for clarity.
    * Add a branded domain if available too boost clicks and trust.
    * Give your link a suitable title for tracking

    Once your link is ready, click **Create**. Your new link is now live. Copy it to share on social media, emails, or embed it in your website or campaigns.
